Habibah Sulayman Smith, MS is a Resilience Coach and founder of Permission 2 Be, a coaching company that helps women move from surviving to thriving. After overcoming teen pregnancy, childhood abuse, exploitation, and homelessness, Habibah turned her pain into purpose and now helps other women do the same.
With over twenty-five years of experience serving women and children—as a case manager, program director, and trainer—she brings both expertise and empathy to every space she leads. Her gift is helping women who’ve been strong for too long finally find balance, clarity, and peace.
Habibah is a lifelong learner committed to growth and transformation—both her own and that of the women she serves. She is certified as a Transformational and Solution-Focused Coach through the Universal Coach Institute and a Speaker, Coach, and Leadership Trainer with the John Maxwell Team. She also completed the HHS Federal Internal Coach Training Program, equipping her to coach with both compassion and strategy.
In addition, Habibah is a certified Human Trafficking and CSEC Prevention Trainer through Not A Number (Love146) and Ending the Game, where she continues to educate and advocate for vulnerable populations.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education with a concentration in Family Health and a Master’s degree in Health Education/Public Health from Trident University.
